Skydance And WGN’s "Manhattan" Enlists Mamie Gummer

Mamie Gummer is heading for the Hill.

“The Good Wife” alum has joined WGN America’s Los Alamos-set period drama “Manhattan” for season two, playing a street-smart spy who uses her charm and sexuality to pass atomic secrets to the Soviets. Her character will act as a liaison to Jim Meeks (played by Christopher Denham), whom audiences have now learned to be a Soviet informer.

Gummer joins a cast that also includes new member William Petersen, who plays the new ranking military officer Col. Emmett Darrow. John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Ashley Zukerman and Rachel Brosnahan also star.

“Manhattan” is executive produced by Sam Shaw, Thomas Schlamme, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross and Dustin Thomason. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television, Skydance Television and Tribune Studios. Season two begins production April 14 in Santa Fe.
